The Firs, Chelford Road, Henbury. Footpath by the Welcome to Henbury sign
Reported via desktop in the Footway category anonymously at 18:20, Fri 5 August 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3733955.
The road was resurfaced 4 or 5 years ago which left the footpath slightly lower than the road surface. This area turns into a small lake after rain and pedestrians need to walk in the road. (This was reported at the time). There is now an estate of houses being built on the other side of the road and at present there is a lot of dust and dirt around. Our depression is full of silt and grit and after the recent rain has become a very slippery muddy patch. I didn't realise how deep it was and slipped but didn't fall. I have tried to clear it up but it is difficult to carry shovels of sloppy wet mud. It will be dangerous again after the next rain shower. After about 5 years it's time this problem was tackled.

While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
