Capesthorne Road, from the junction of Adlington Road to Ravenscroft Road
Reported via mobile in the Footway category anonymously at 08:09, Thursday 28 July 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3712468.
I understand that there is footway reconstruction but having worked in Road construction and I have a valid Chaper 8 certificate I know that you must make provisions for pedestrians at all times in the event of footway construction or repairs. As you can see from the pictures enclosed, both footpaths are closed and forcing pedestrians to walk in the carriageway.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.
During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
