Northwich Road over bridge over M6
Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category by John Burgess at 15:18, Wed 27 July 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3711227.
Your reply on 2nd March 2020, yes over 2 years ago, stated that the appalling state of the road was programmed for repair in accordance with current priorities. It still has not been done despite numerous resurfacing work in the area including lots on the A50 nearby. None of the completed works were as urgent as the bridge. Cyclists are forced to walk over the bridge as it is so dangerous. I have been reporting this to you for over 6 years. Today I have asked the local press for their comments. It is a disgrace even in a third world country. Go and see for yourselves.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
