Reported via mobile in the Flooding category by Councillor Nicola Cook at 10:12, Wed 27 July 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3710143.
Significant flooding of surface water. Was reported to United Utilities who have checked the drain, they confirmed it was blocked. They also confirmed that this drain wasn’t their responsibility but was owned by Cheshire East Council.
The flooding really was significant and caused a major risk to the highway on Station Road and was running down the junction to the railway station

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
