Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3702105.
There is tree (possibly a type of lime tree) in the grass verge that is council owned and is causing an issue. It has grown considerably over the last ten years and has large branches regularly encroaching over the road and pavement. Branches get hit by vans and lorries often and last week a motorist nearly collided with a huge low lying branch and fearing someone would have an accident has pulled a large section out of the way. This needs removing. In addition, as homeowners adjacent to the tree we often have to lop off low lying branches over hanging the pavement as the council has not maintained the tree. It is also encroaching on our property and we think the tree should be pollarded to control its size so it doesn't pose a risk at the busiest junction on our estate. Thank you.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
