A51 (London Road) approaching the Boar’s Head Junction from both the north and the south.

Reported via desktop in the Conditions of Signs category by Cllr Janet Clowes at 02:25, Saturday 23 July 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3699822.

Poor or non-existant 7.5t weight limit signage on the approach to this junction is resulting in increased HGV traffic turning down Wybunbury Road and through the Village using the route as a rat run past the primary school (they do not stop for access). We met with the Highways Safety Officer in early July who acknowledges the issue and has asked that it is logged for action.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
