Reported via desktop in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 15:00, Monday 18 July 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3685027.

Several trees are falling over steadily and pressing down on lower trees and hanging down or breaking off. Because the ground is a waterlogged moss once they lean they get steadily worse. Several branches have been cut off as an emergency but it is getting worse and more dangerous. Extensive tree and hedge work is long overdue and needs action. Walking along daily is no fun and cars and vans are losing mirrors and paint. High vehicles regularly break off branches. Please get it sorted quickly. Not sure if it is an SSSI but that won't interfere with road safety or carriageway width.

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
