Pillar box lane, wards lane

Reported via desktop in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 10:52, Friday 15 July 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3678421.

This is the council wide problem. The hedge has grown too wide and high, and reduces visibility. The current state of hedges reduce road width and visibility dramatically, to the point that even tractors cannot be seen until the last moment (and they do travel at speed.) Cars have to travel too far from the road edge to avoid damage (scratches), this is especially dangerous around corners. Combined with lots of potholes on the edge of the road, this will result in the nasty accident and increased damage claims to the council

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
