Opposite 339 Crewe Road, Shavington, on the Apple Drive side

Reported via mobile in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 10:12, Thursday 14 July 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3675600.

On December the 29th last yeast year I reported blocked grids on the highway on Crewe Road in Shavington opposite 339 on the Apple Drive side. This grid is so blocked it floods the road when it rains. On Saturday morning the 9th of July, 5 months later! A gully cleaner attended the grid. They were there for a couple of minutes and left the grid as it was, still full to the top with soil, completely blocked. The grid/gully is clearly not clear. please see picture attached of the blocked grid. So when will this be cleared? Goodness knows the extent of the blockage by now and what other problems this is causing to the drainage system. A couple of residents this last week have had to have drains cleared On their property, maybe this blocked grid is adding to the problems. It needs looking at urgently now please, It has been left for long enough. A quick response would be appreciated by all. Thank you.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
