Under Rainow Road on the cross roads of Under Rainow Road, Weathercock Lane and Tunstall Road

Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 09:08, Wednesday 13 July 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3672539.

The gully opposite Silver Springs property is full of water and ponding onto the carriageway. This is despite period of continuous dry weather. Usually in times of heavy down pours this gully fills up and floods the full width of the carriageway. This location has restricted visibility to the junction for vehicles travelling from Tunstall Road and can cause vehicles to approach this location and not see the ponded area until the last minute.

There is water spreading across the carriageway and what appears to be through the carriageway downstream of this gully. This area is continuously wet. Likely to be a blocked/collapsed gully pipe between the two gully pots.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
