Adam’s Car-boot Sale

Reported via mobile in the Carriageway category anonymously at 05:47, Mon 11 July 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3665436.

Yesterday I was driving at 6.30am from Macclesfield to the M6 via Chelford. There was a queue from Chelford Station to Adam’s car boot. It took me one hour to get past the car boot. Traffic was virtually at a standstill in both directions. I ha been to the car boots here before but never seen anything like this. The problem appeared to be solely with Adam’s car boot ( left side after leaving Chelford centre). The delay was caused by the slow speed in getting customers cars off the road and to the fields. This resulted in unacceptable delays for other road users.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
