Approximately 70 yards up Gosberryhole Lane from its junction with Tunstall Road

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3657341.
There is a blocked drain in this location which is still not fixed despite being first reported nearly twelve months ago. I have met people there on three occasions including Richard Cooper. On the first occasion the operatives cleared the drain at the junction of Gosberryhole lane and Tunstall road but refused to even look at the other drain which was reported. On the last occasion (6/7/2022) the operatives cleared the manhole below the blocked drain but refused to clear the grid that was casing the problem despite being parked right behind the drain. Yesterday there were two men clearing the drain and two other men in two large lorries who were responsible for traffic. They sat in their vehicles for the whole time. I dread to think how much all this has cost so far and still the main problem has not been fixed. I have made numerous phone calls to the council and the person on the other end of the phone has always been very helpful but there seems to be a breakdown of communication somewhere along the line. Could you please prioritise this wok? Every time it rains hard a lot of stone gets washed down on to Tunstall road and in winter the water which runs down freezes making the area very dangerous as there are a lot of walkers who park here when they go up Bosley Cloud. Many thanks John Yarwood

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
