I have been cutting back the trees, hedges and weeds on this stretch of road which has no pavements for the past four years but the trees etc have become too much for me singly to maintain as I am getting older. I would like to know whose responsibility it is to maintain the safety of this road for the walkers who regularly have to dive into the bushes to avoid oncoming traffic? I have cut back the brambles etc on the opposite side to Lodge Row cottages as they were overhanging the road by about four foot but I am not willing to do the rest of the road leading up to Disley village.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
