Reported via mobile in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 17:16, Mon 4 July 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3647910.
All gullies in a run of at least 5 on the west side of Manchester road to the north of Hill Top Avenue are completely silted up. The footway along this stretch is narrow in places and in heavy rain, pedestrians have to walk next to a ‘river’ running down the channel. The risk of getting drenched by passing vehicles is high and will deter people from walking in wet weather. This water runs across the mouth of Hill Top Avenue and in winter there is an increased risk of this forming a film of ice at the exact point where drivers are braking.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.
During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
