Schoolpool Brook, Mill Lane, Newsbank, Somerford Booths, Nr Congleton, Cheshire, CW12 2JS

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category anonymously at 07:34, Tuesday 28 June 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3629259.

Looks like the farmer yesterday 27/06/2022 has been cutting/pulling trees down in the field by the side of the road, one large tree has fallen pulling up its roots which in turn has brought part of the culvert/bridge up, cracking and causing serious damage to the middle of the culvert downwards and across, the culvert goes under the road, I think the field belongs to Millbank Farm. I question if the culvert/road is save to pass over with the damage caused.

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
