Junction of Lindrum Avenue

Reported via desktop in the Road Works category by Police Community Support Officer Jim Newns 20417 at 14:03, Wednesday 22 June 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3615545.

The road closure on Byrons Lane Macclesfield heading towards Sutton is diverting vehicles up London Road and they are cutting through Lindrum Avenue from both Robin Lane and London Road. This is causing congestion issues. Can I suggest that temporary traffic lights are erected on the junction of Robin Lane and London Road to allow for better traffic flow and access onto London road.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
