Manhole outside 399 Park Lane

Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 10:29, Wed 22 June 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3614794.

Your team have been along today cleaning out the gullies. For some reason this one which is completely blocked and has grass growing out of it, they decided to ignore. I assume because it probably required too much work to fix. I've reported this drain every year for the last 5 years and get told every time "It will be fixed as part of our routine cleaning program". Sadly yet again its been ignored and the road will flood again next time it rains as you aren't willing to clear it properly.

I know you will just close this with the usual statement, but for once it would be nice if you actually responded to these requests rather than just close them like you do every other one that gets loged

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
