On pavement down from rookery tavern pub towards railway bridge

Reported via mobile in the Footway category anonymously at 11:38, Sat 11 June 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3587856.

Hole in middle of pavement forcing people onto the road having to go around red warning triangle barrier which has been placed there by council also is eye sore outside our house now for well over 2 months. Hole isn’t just a pothole, pavement has caved in to a 2ft drop down to pipe work beneath. Dangerous as wind has blown barrier over. Presuming it has been dismissed on file as not showing up on issue maps. Please can we have this rectified before someone gets hurt.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
