Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:55, Thursday 9 June 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3584296.
There has been a broken inspection cover for a few days and it is getting much worse. Bits of metal have been sticking up and have been removed because of danger to cars. There is increasing collapse of the cover as tractors are being driven over it. There is danger to cars, cyclist and walkers - either damage to vehicles or serious risk of harm to people.
Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.
During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
