Mount Pleasant Island bottom of Bull Hill Lane
Reported via desktop in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category by Sarah Giller - Rainow PC (not Sutton PC) at 16:05, Tue 7 June 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3578529.
My Council have concerns regarding the condition of the trees which are in need of some maintenance. (pictures attached)
There are 5 trees on the green. 1. The oak is fine and still young. 2. The Rowan has a rotten crown and some branches have already broken off, one into the road. If the crown is cleared there is strong new growth lower down, so we don’t think the tree needs to be removed totally. 3. The other 3 Thorne trees are old and have some dead branches which can be easily removed leaving the remaining healthy growth.
Can you confirm that you will do this maintenance work.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We have assessed the issue and it needs to be inspected by a qualified arborist. The time it will take to carry out the inspection will depend on the priorities of the arborist. We will update your report once we have more information.
