Roughyl half way up the bank from Church Lane Bridge, on the left hand side of the road when travelling towards Congleton Road.

Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 10:34, Fri 27 May 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3555607.

Blocked solid for at least five years, I am certain you don't even know this grid/gully exists. Again, along with the blocked gully adjacent to the bridge on Church Lane, this results in dangerous icy conditions in the winter months on a relatively steeply sloping and narrow lane used by parents to collect children from St John's Primary School. The road surface on the lower side of this grid/gully is also in a poor state as a result of being constantly wet in the winter months. Again, costing taxpayers more money to repair in the long term, due to the appalling standards of basic maintenance by you as the responsible authority.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
