Junction of Mossley Garth Close / Bidulph Road

Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 12:44, Thursday 19 May 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3536594.

The road floods whenever there is heavy rain. When the traffic is busy, pedestrians risk getting soaked as cars drive through the flood. At other times cars cross the carriageway to avoid the water. See pic of van splashing footpath. I have been soaked on one occasion, ran the length of the flood but a car still got me.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
