Lostock road Sk121ll

Reported via mobile in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 19:27, Friday 13 May 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3524461.

The trees on Lostock road were reported last year, someone came out to investigate and was advised that as it did not block any street lights it was not a council issue and we could cut the small bit handing over in to gardens. As you can see from the attached photo the ONLY street light on Lostock road is completely covered, no maintenance has been done on any of trees and the personal cost to residents is now incredibly expensive due to councils lack of maintenance, we are requesting the one tree completely covering the street light and touching the properties on Lostock road be cut by the council to a reasonable standard. There are also some trees around a memorial bench which are about to become incredibly scruffy and overgrown, as these are not on private land the residents cannot prune. It feels disrespectful and unfair that Lostock Road cannot he given the care and upkeep that the rest of poynton does. I ask for you to reevaluate whether blocking the one and only light on the road is safe, or fair for residents to pay this cost when not on private land. Regards, Lauren Leslie 4 Lostock Road Sk121ll

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
