Missing signs 3486448.
Reported via desktop in the Conditions of Signs category anonymously at 11:17, Monday 9 May 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3511493.
I reported that signs had been damaged by hedge cutting ref 3486448 and was told that this was not important and that there was no money to fix it this financial year. I am sure that the many people who visit Cheshire to cycle along these routes will be pleased to know that when they get lost because the signs are missing. I am sure that readers of the local newspapers will be glad to hear that too. I tried to make this comment via the original page where I first drew the missing sign to your attention. The website says that the report is now closed. I cannot make any representation other than be opening a new report.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We have assessed the issue and added it to our improvement programme for repair over the longer term. This means we are unlikely to do any improvement work here during the current financial year. Our programmes sometimes change if more funding becomes available. You should check our website for any updates. You can find details of the work planned for this location and where it currently sits on the programme through our website: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ highways_and_roads/ road-maintenance/ road-repair-and-improvement-programme-2021-2022/ road-repair-and-improvement-programme-2021-2022.aspx
