Priest Lane Kettleshulme

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 09:02, Thursday 5 May 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council 1 hour, 5 minutes later. Council ref: 3502944.

The road condition on this road has been reported over years now and has been patched to a very low standard. It is now virtually impassable and a danger to drivers and walkers. The bridge has a hole and crack with water ingress which is likely to be causing damage to its structure. This road is used by residents and visitors to the peak park and really needs a total resurface. Patch and mend here is no longer an option. I am a retired director of a company that controlled the old Cheshire CC roads when first privatised and qualified through experience to know when a road needs a total revamp and Priest Lane through to Cornfield Rd needs priority before another accident happens.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
