Lay-By near junction of eastern road abs green lane
Reported via mobile in the Column Damaged category by Cllr Allen Gage at 17:03, Tue 3 May 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3499105.
I reported this fallen lampost on Thursday 28/4/2022 and given we have just had a bank holiday weekend I was pleasantly surprised to have received an update (attached in photo) at 6.50am this morning (3/5/22) saying that work has been carried out and the lampost is fixed.
I have visited the lampost this evening and discovered that it has not been fixed, the fallen part has been removed and the stump gas been wrapped in gaffa tape.
This lay-by is a notorious fly tipping hotspot, can we please have assurance that the post will be properly fixed?
Thank you.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
