Footway is severly worn away

Reported via mobile in the Footway category by Cllr Suzie Akers Smith at 10:39, Sun 1 May 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3494131.

The footway between Woodbrook Road and the National Trust Alderley Edge car park is overgrown with verge and severely worn away in many places. As a pedestrian it is uncomfortable to walk and must be a trip hazard if you were using a mobility aid. Can the verge overgrowth could be pushed right back and the pavement be resurfaced. This would enable residents to feel less vulnerable on a route that has a national speed limit, but should be 40mph.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
