Pavement outside 8 Grimshaw lane
Reported via mobile in the Gully/Drainage category by Mary Charlesworth at 08:41, Wed 27 April 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3485537.
This is an ongoing issue that has dragged on since December last year. United utilities have inspected and cleared twice because you said it was their problem. The last visit from them which involved cameras all around my house as well as the road confirmed that there was no sewer in the chamber and that this was a Highways responsibility. They have contacted John Denwood to confirm this on 26th April. He previously visited the property saying he had witnessed soil in the chamber and that it was united utilities. I am now stuck between two organisations that don't communicate very well with each other or me and the issue is being ignored. I am supposed to be having work done on my driveway and can't progress because of this flood being so close to my access. Please can someone get back to me.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
