A 525 Speed limit review between Browns Bank & Burleydam

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3389897.
Dear Highways,
At the Parish Council meeting last night, again concerns over vehicles speeding on the above A road were raised.
Please can you advise the Parish Council how to progress an assessment of this road for a reduction in the speed limit please.
The Parish Council are aware there have been serious collisions on this road and the quantity of traffic has significantly increased in recent years. The Parish council view is that a reduction in the speed limit is required. When comparing A roads locally, the A530 between Nantwich/Whitchurch has speed restrictions in place. The area identified (Brown's Bank to Burleydam) is very similar to the A530 from Sound to Newhall. Perhaps a start would be the silver streams ( forgive me if this is the wrong term!) to gauge traffic flow?
Thank you and await your advice as to how this issue may be progressed, please.
Kind regards Cllr Clive Pownall

We have assessed the issue and added it to our improvement programme for repair over the longer term. This means we are unlikely to do any improvement work here during the current financial year. Our programmes sometimes change if more funding becomes available. You should check our website for any updates.
