The footpath from Hope Lane to the top of the bridge embankment, mainly the top half of this footpath leading up to the top of the bridge over the railway line. If you need help locating this please contact me.

Reported via desktop in the Footway category anonymously at 22:12, Sun 13 March 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3385311.

Significant cracks are developing in the footpath suggesting underlying subsidence/slippage of the embankment. There are services in the footpath, possibly gas which may be affected by this ground movement. Cracks are also developing in the brick bridge parapet at the top of the embankment.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
