Wood lane, goostrey
Reported via mobile in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 13:01, Wed 23 February 2022
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3337837.
There are 2 issues.
1) a Cheshire highways guy who came to remove a tree that had fallen in the storms advised that the tree next to it (which lost some branches) should be assessed, either to remove the tree or trim it as it looked a bit rotten inside.
2) a group of trees looked like they might come down in the storm, these should also be assessed as they are way too tall.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.

We have arranged for a tree inspection by a qualified arborist to be undertaken. This is usually completed within 20 working days, but depends on the priorities of the arborist. We will update your report once we have received the outcome of the inspection.

We take action if a tree is dead, diseased or dying, damaging property, or blocking safety signs or lamp columns. The tree at this location does not fall into any of these categories and so we will not be taking any action at this time. We will continue to monitor this location through our routine inspections and will take action in future if necessary. If you would like to know more about how we manage hedges and trees, you can find information here: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ highways_and_roads/ road-maintenance/ roadside-trees-and-hedges.aspx
