Potholes and uneven surface at junction

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 08:36, Monday 21 February 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3329360.

The junction of Thorneyholme Drive with The Shambles and Sandiway is badly potholed and uneven, making nearby houses shudder everytime a bus (it's a bus route) pr any larger vehicle passes. Even travelling along in a car, it feels like you've gone off road, which can only cause damage to cars passing. The whole junction is in urgent need of a resurface, at least at the junction.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.

  • Still very uneven, terrible when large vehicles drive past. Liable to cause damage to vehicles and neighbouring properties.
