Gresty Greenway footpath (on south side of Gresty Brook) where it crosses the stream running down from Fuller drive etc.

Reported via desktop in the Barriers category anonymously at 15:35, Sunday 20 February 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3328037.

Temporary barriers were placed here a while ago (to replace the long-gone barriers on the bridge). One side has fallen (?blown in recent storms) into the brook and provides no protection. On the other side, the outer beam of the bridge continues to shift - and the temporary barriers with it. Something more permanent is required before someone falls in the brook.

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
