On the road outside Holmstead Stables

Reported via mobile in the Gully/Drainage category by Gemma Nichols at 14:34, Sun 20 February 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3327862.

I have reported this blocked gully approximately 8 months ago and since then it has often flooded the road so I have re reported it.

I had a response saying you are due to empty the gullies in the next 12 weeks (this doesn’t say this particular gully). I have followed the link to look exactly when that gully will be emptied and it’s scheduled for March 2023! It needs to be move up the priority list as it removes a lot of surface water from the road and nearby golf course land. If it’s blocked it doesn’t do this and the water backs up onto our property which causes our septic tank to not work and in turn means our waste water from toilets/sinks etc backs up in the house so we have to pump out onto the road to be able to use our facilities.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
