Pavement broken and uneven

Reported via desktop in the Footway category anonymously at 08:46, Sun 13 February 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3307799.

A section of pavement (about 40-50 yards) has badly broken up with deep recesses in places and is very unsafe for pedestrians. This particular pavement has a great deal of pedestrian traffic (especially senior citizens) and this is terribly dangerous, especially at night as not well lit. Please make this repair u=an urgent priority as some one could easily fall into the road at this location. RISK TO LIFE: Very urgent.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
