Footway leading to Styal Road from the house

Reported via desktop in the Uneven Flags category by Ian seddon at 16:00, Fri 4 February 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3290028.

I have reported this issue before and still nothing is done . The pavement has been dropped to allow vehicle access to the house but over time the lay in area has been used by passing vehicles to take phone calls and they have destroyed the stone and created large holes which fill with dirt and water in rain and now are around 3-5 inches deep which causes issues on the cars backing out and a dangerous walkway for passing pedestrians. They need filling in and levelling urgently as if our cars are damaged on their bodywork going through I will be holding the council to account for any damages I have previously reported this issue over 8 months ago

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.

Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.

We are currently experiencing an increase in demand of reported issues along with a temporary reduction in available staff due to Covid-related sickness and self-isolation.

During this time and until the situation improves, we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.

    Thank you for your patience.
