Opposite 1 Green Lane

Reported via mobile in the Footway category anonymously at 20:04, Mon 24 January 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3264250.

This car is parking here everyday visiting 44 Eastern Road, directly opposite our driveway at 1 Green Lane. Although they have the permission of the owner to park opposite the dropped kerb, the pavement is too narrow when vehicles are parked there which means pedestrians are forced to walk on the road. In this case the car is parked over the dropped kerb on the pavement. The pavement and road is far too narrow for safe use when cars park on this section and this makes it dangerous when we are pulling out of our driveway.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility

  • Thanks for the response. So the Council are not responsible for enforcement when parking over dropped Kerbs? The Council isn’t responsible for the welfare of pedestrians who are being forced into the road? I have spoken to the owner of the car who abused me for asking them to move off the pavement. Who should I speak to if not the Council? Thanks.
