A piece of the road measuring at least 30 metres

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 10:46, Monday 24 January 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3262469.

Potholes of varying depth and diameter From 10 metres before the railway bridge from Haslington direction to under and at least 10 meters beyond towards Hall Lane Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 11:00, Wed 19 May 2021 This situation has been here for at least 10 years of weekly travelling back and forth and it is dangerous. It affects not only motorists but cyclists and pedestrians and as there are no warnings about the state of the road surface or street lights it is very very dangerous indeed. This is not the first time this has been reported and not just by me but perhaps now is the time to get the local press into the discussion over the state of this section of road. This piece of road is in such a bad condition and one hopes that any funding left for the end of the year projects is used for repairing it.

  • The verges are being used by vehicles because the road is so bad. An absolute minefield in Cheshire East. Will the damage to vehicles be paid for even though this has been reported by so many over a very long period of time?
