Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3256955.
With reference to NAN604 - Heathfield Close / Park View Nantwich - Proposed Double Yellow Lines
The above scheme is going ahead in order to improve visibility and ensure access at this junction.
The SLOW sign is worn out and has been for many years prior to this junction which regualrly has many cars passing in excess of 30 miles an hour.
Issue was prior reported and you have stated the signage will not be renewed.
If NAN604 was really about making the junction safer how can the renewal of this road signage not be part of that scheme?
NAN604 will open the junction area based on removing parked cars due to the yellow lines. The risk though not proven but highly likely is that the speed of cars in Park View will then increase past the junction due to no parked cars.
Interested to understand why the signage is not being renewed given the above scheme.
