It is very disappointing that Hunterston Road is not gritted, as this serves Bridgemere School and is resulting in a dangerous road for cars and pedestrians. On the 7th January, I was dropping my children at school, and skidding due to the road not being gritted, luckily I did not crash, but who knows next time and what would have happened if their were pedestrians on the road. As well as being dangerous for car users, it is very dangerous for pedestrians, and I know is causing concern for people who walk their children to school from local houses. The current decision to not grit this road is therefore causing a dangerous road for people to get their children to school and is causing people to not walk their children to school, surely this can't be in line with government policy.
