The whole of Hunsterson Road

Reported via mobile in the Winter Maintenance category anonymously at 15:23, Sat 8 January 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3225259.

My two young children are pupils at Bridgemere Primary school and therefore we have to travel on Hunsterson Road twice a day with our young family in the vehicle. On Friday 7th January we were on our way to school in the morning and despite giving ourselves extra time and being aware of the icy conditions I lost control of my vehicle twice . Luckily no other vehicles were involved and no serious damage was sustained and we were not injured . However I feel the lack of gritting was a direct factor of these incidents and is putting the lives at risk of not just my own children but others pupils that HAVE TO USE THIS ROAD TO GET TO SCHOOL which attending is a legal requirement. This issue is not going to go away and I am not the only parent who feels the decision to remove the road from the gritting list is irresponsible and strongly request and urge you to reinstate this road onto the gritting route for the sake of the safety of all the children who attend this school and their family members.
