I don’t live in the area but my daughter lives on Chantry Road off Buxton Old Road and I help with the care of my young Granddaughter so travel three days a week. In winter a small amount of snow or ice can cause havoc for cars on this stretch of road and skidding and accidents particularly with parked cars a real danger. A few weeks ago when snow had fallen a car was travelling down Buxton Old Road and skidding all over the place and had to beep the horn hard as my daughter pushing a pram was on the pavement to get out of the way. It’s highly dangerous, aren’t the roads ever gritted? When snow or ice is forecast surely the roads on a gradient like this one should be a priority?
