Holmes Chapel Road on the approach to Chelford road

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category anonymously at 15:14, Monday 3 January 2022

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3212553.

At the moment when travelling towards Holmes Chapel on the A54 prior to Chelford Rd there is a single broken centre line, there is also an advanced warning sign which is blank! Prior to this line system there was a solid centre line for traffic travelling towards Holmes Chapel and a broken line for Congleton bound traffic,(there is still a 'tow in arrow' present). I recall this line system was put in place after a serious RTC occurred when a car overtook on this stretch of road and collided with a vehicle pulling out of Chelford Rd. Suggest a return to the previous system for better road safety
