Dynorod Drain engineer was attending No.17 Bailey Court today (29th Dec 201) and at 14:30 he reversed into lighting column no5 bending the pole and knocking the protection cover off. The driver only stopped the vehicle when I came out of the house to see what had been hit, he then took tools from his van and proceeded to try bend the column door slot back into shape to get door to refit. The door fell off again a number of times and I am no concerned that if it falls off again the isolation circuits for the column will be exposed. I am a qualified high voltage electrician and I have installed many lighting columns previously and I believe that the impact from this collision has compromised the column. Can you please send out an engineer to check electrical connections and if needs be replace the column. The driver is attached to the Talke Pits Dynorod Drainage depot (01782564730) - I have spoken to the Manager Mark about this incident and he also said he will be contacting your department to report the issue having spoken to his engineer.

  • Hi I have just opened my email to find this problem is stating fixed, we did not see any van attend nor does the report give any detail of what was done or findings. Can you please post the inspection report on this?
