Daily flooding of Danebank Ave. all across the road, upto 6inches deep. Risk to motor vehicles, pedestrians cyclists

  • We deal with gullies based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed this location and it is not considered to present an immediate danger to highway users at this time. We are due to empty the gullies here as part of our routine programme in the next 12 weeks. This means we will not visit before the scheduled visit unless there is an immediate threat to life or the inside of property.   • Good morning. This is not acceptable. This road has been flooded since Thursday last week, it has only cleared yesterday (Sunday). The road is not passable for cyclists, cars can pass through by straddling the puddle in the middle of the road, even so, there is still a bow of water. This will damage vehicles. Please also bear in mind that it is winter. With vehicles dragging water out of this puddle the road will be continually wet and will freeze. Again another hazard. This area needs to be investigated urgently. Prior to the road being re surfaced last year there was seldom an issue with flooding. In the last 6 months this road is often flooded.
