Along Church Lane towards Sandbach and just past the church bend is a footpath construction that appears to have been started and abandoned

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3182247.

I had occasion to walk along this road which is dangerous to do with no pavement. A pavement has been started with edges put in but it is all unfinished and growing weeds in rough cement. They tell me that the builder of Berrifields, Church Lane was meant to finish the pavement as part of his agreement. If this is the case should this now be chased up or he may walk away or even (as they seem to do) conveniently go bust. If its a local authority issue and the info I heard is wrong can the job that has been started now proceed at pace in order to make this stretch a little safer?
