Road drain outside 34 Prestbury Road sk9 2ll.

Reported via desktop in the Slurry or Mud on the Highway category by John marper at 23:52, Wed 8 December 2021

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3168543.

The roadside drain has been blocked for several months. It has been reported several times. The blockage is below the road surface so brushing the road surface and the metal grid has no effect. When it rains, muddy water flows down my drive and risks creating more problems by blocking other drains.

  • You posted a message 'No further Action.' In contrast I cannot see any sign that you have taken any action. The drain is still blocked and muddy water still flows down my drive. Why are you ignoring the issue.

Please explain and tell me of your complaints procedure

    State changed to: Open

  • Another month without a response. I dug some of the mud out of the road drain to no effect. The drain below the road is blocked solidly.

In heavy rain mud cascades across the road creating a slippery hazard for all road users.

You really need to do something before there is an accident
