On the bend of the carriageway by Baddiley Dairy Farmhard Blackburns farm

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category anonymously at 02:05, Wed 8 December 2021

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3166281.

This is a major dip in the road that has been reported previously and is getting worse. The council acknowledged there were issues previously here that needed review. We now have very strong grounds to believe that there is a pipeline under the carriageway (public road) which has been inserted by a third party. If this part of the carriageway is checked properly (and perhaps scanned) then this would become clear. As residents we would like to know if it is allowable for a third party to dig up a council roadway? If not then this should perhaps be of concern. If it is the council that have inserted an underground pipeline then the quality of the work would be questionable. The reason we think this action has been taken is to allow access to carry slurry etc across the carriageway to the adjacent field without setting up ramps for drivers to go over along the carriageway. It is somewhat obvious to the residents that this has not happened in some months and that the timeline co-incides with the timeline for the newly created crater that we now see in the middle of the carriageway. We think this is an urgent issue (and a safety issue) that needs to be thoroughly checked.
