  • There has been some work on the problem just before Christmas the light I referred to with the flood assessment equipment is between my home no 6 and 4 Eaton Close backs onto Waterloo Road. The light worked for one day only. I assumed that more work must be planned, however, we had a flood warning yesterday but I suppose that if it was not working neither was the flood related equipment. As of last night the light was not working nor were the other lights along the footpath involved. Please advise me what the current situation - don’t expect any contact before the New Year holidays. Thanks Len Davies.\

  • Substantial work has been carried out along the stretch of lights referred in the past two weeks however they only remained active for a few days after the workers left. The area is now left in darkness again on a footpath used regularly by young and old residents and I as I have stated previously powers flood surveillance equipment.

  • Once again work was carried out as required recently, however several of the lights were not working on Monday night and are not working tonight 2/2/22. They are those from the lamp supporting the flood surveillance equipment at the rear of my house to the junction with Sutton Road. For the reasons stated previously this issues requires attention one again
