Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 14:46, Sun 5 December 2021
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3160662.
We reported the problem last January when the fire brigade pumped water away from homes on Welsh Row and old people where at risk this has fell on death ears. Last night the blockage on Congleton Rd where the the grids are blocked as well as some I reported on Welsh Row, We where advised that the council will only check A roads these need cleaning urgently large amounts of rain which is converging from the Alderley Edge top and then flowing down Artist Lane and water falling down both directions of Congleton Rd is settling near blocked grids and then having no where to go except flooding Welsh Row. This does need sorting or as last night if rain was slightly heavier we would of had to call the emergency services at a great cost, being on junction as well which is used by lots of cyclist cars there could be a ice risk causing a major accident, please can you arrange to clear grids thank you (image attached 12 hours after flooding)
